Year 6: Children come dressed in anything you like! Adults we can’t wait to welcome you....the children will be sharing their non-chronological reports that are all about Beetles!

For those children not dressing up for their year group topic, come in dressed up for Karneval in your favourite outfit! We will be collecting money to support with this week's Literacy Festival Activities and using any additional funds for further developing our school library and book corners.

This week, the school have been celebrating Herne Hill's Children's Lit Fest, Stepping into Stories.

Year 3 were lucky enough to take a trip down to Station Hall where they got to meet author Ken Wilson-Max. Ken read his new book, Eco Girl, to the children which they loved! Before they left, Ken shared his top tips for illustrating with the children. We now have a bunch of budding authors and illustrators, ready to jump into action!

The children in Reception had the pleasure of welcoming Lucy Reynolds, author of the book 'We Are Family' into class this week. They learnt lots of fun facts and discussed the importance of diversity in families and the journey we all take to find our place in this wonderful world we live in.

Later in the day they created their own unique butterfly picture and learnt how to draw a koala bear.
