Book Donations

We love having book donations. To support our Library further. we are looking for more books celebrating diversity and inclusivity. Additionally, we would love more of the following:

- Books which represent different cultures and faiths.

- Children's books in others languages to celebrate all the languages spoken at JKPS.

- Non fiction texts

- Quality children's thesauruses and dictionaries

Thank you so much!

What's been happening in school this week?

JKPS Library

We have been working hard to organise, improve and label every book in our library. We now have all the books organised in age ability and children will be able to access both English and German texts at any age! We are continuing to build the range of books we have and thanks to the fundraising at "Bedtime Stories," this has enabled us to purchase a range of new books!

Year 1 Story Maps

In Year 1, we have been learning the skills of how we use a story map to map a story that we know. After we have been able to use this to tell stories, we then make changes to make it our own stories which we completed in pairs. Great teamwork Year 1!

Author visit in Year 5 and Year 6!

Ally Sherrick and Catherine Randall shared their books which helps support bring history to life! The classes were excited to find out about how they take their ideas as authors and turn them into books!

Year 5 Trip!

Year 5 went on a trip to the Imperial War Museum! On this trip the classes took part in a workshop where they had to choose items and create their own documentaries in the roles of director, presenter and a cameraman!

Friends of Judith Kerr

Friends of Judith Kerr

We are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Judith Kerr Primary School with a special trip to the theatre!  This year would also have been Judith Kerr's 100th Birthday, and we will join Mog and a menagerie of creatures, little and large, for a lively and enchanting production with songs. These timeless tales of family and friendship are brought to life to allow a new generation of children to fall in love with Mog.

JKPS has managed to get a booking for the entire school, including staff for the day of Tuesday 18 July 2023. The school will be requesting volunteers to assist with travel on public transit as we get nearer to the date. Tickets for all students are guaranteed.

We are required to make a substantial deposit payment by 31st March, so please take action today and purchase tickets/make additional contributions to cover costs so that all children/staff can attend.
