Fabulous Home learning this term!

Nursery and Reception

This term the home learning has been incredible in EYFS! We have been learning about life cycle and finding out about each stage and how an animal can evolve from a tadpole to a frog and a caterpillar to a buttery!

We have continued to have incredible volcanos for our topic on dinosaurs!

Celebrating phonics in Year 1!

A little bit of favouritism- well done to my phonics group for always trying their hardest, progressing well and being lots of fun!

Reading

{alt_tag}

After half term, your child will be bringing home their Share-a-thon sponsorship form. In this form we would like your child to choose how many books you could share with family and friends to support fundraising for our school Library. Our aim is to focus on purchasing books with authors, content and key messages which celebrate diversity and inclusion. See if you can make a list this term of how many people you could share books with!

200 Reads

{alt_tag}

Well done to the following children for achieving 200 reads!

Year 6: Betty

Year 5: Tara, Annabel, Charlotte

Year 4: Arik, Kitty, Rosa, Veronika

Summer Menu

Next Terms Week One Summer Menu:

A message from JKPS Friends!

Friends Corner

👉 This week we presented Shivali and Laurie with some presents from the parent community, for being such brilliant co-chairs over the last few years! We would like to say a huge thanks to them both again for all their hard work and amazing fundraising.

👉 Save the date: Summer Social Picnic: Saturday June 10th from 1pm. Come and enjoy a relaxed picnic in the school grounds. More details to follow!

👉 Our new school travel app Homerun is an easy way to link families up to share the journey to JKPS (especially when there are train strikes). It’s particularly helpful for those coming longer distances who might want to team up on train and bus journeys or car shares. The added bonus is that the Friends get a donation of £2000 once enough people have signed up! We only need 10 more families to sign up so we can get our first £600! Please help us make the area around our school safer and help create a better school run for everyone by signing up today - it takes 3 mins and then you can start searching for people close by. http://www.homerun-app.com/launch/jk5493.

👉 The next Gardening Day will be hosted by Year 6 and will take place on Sunday, 23rd April, 11am-3pm. The whole school is very welcome to join and any free pair of hands is very much appreciated. For anyone who would like to join the Gardening WhatsApp Group, please follow this link https://chat.whatsapp.com/EfylVvITXrZBeSROpsDXvR

👉 And finally, a Mog reminder. On Tuesday 18th July, the entire school will be heading to London’s Old Vic Theatre to see Mog, The Forgetful Cat. Tickets for all students are guaranteed. We are required to make a substantial deposit payment. We kindly ask those who are able to, to make an additional contribution so that all children and staff can attend.

-£12 Covers the cost of one ticket

-£15 Covers a ticket plus a £3 donation towards another ticket

-£20 Covers a ticket plus an £8 donation towards another ticket
