Friday 22nd September 2023

Dear Families,

The children have had a busy week of learning and have settled in well to their new routines.

Our new German teacher from the Goethe Institute, Andrea, has started this week in Years 1 and 2 and our new music teacher, Aodhan, from Southwark Music  Service has been working with children in Reception to Year 6.

The children in Early Years have completed their first full week and are off to a flying start!

A reminder that children will be coming home with their homework today, please make sure you make time for them to learn their new words, practice their dictation sentences and complete their maths activity, so that they are ready for their pop quizzes next Friday.

Have a lovely weekend and hopefull we will see you all at the Oktober festival tomorrow.

Sarah

EYFS

The children in Nursery and Reception have had an excellent start to their first topic 'All are Welcome'. They have created some wonderful self-portraits using oil pastils. Below are a few examples of their work. They have also been reading the story 'The Colour Monster goes to School' and discussing their feelings and emotions. Great job everyone!

Library Volunteers

Another shout out to those of you who would like to help look after our library.  This could either be with its general upkeep or on Friday afternoons where the children visit and enable them to take out books.

Please see a member of SLT or the office staff if you have any spare time you can spare to help out.

Thank you!

A huge thank you to all those involved in the fundraising event last week, in support of the Earthquake Appeal.
