Friday 8th December 2023

Dear Families,

Firstly, I would like to thank all our community who have expressed concern over Jo's absence over the past weeks; I will personally pass on all your well-wishes.  We are hoping for Jo to be back with us very soon. In the meantime, please feel free to direct any enquires to me via the admin email.

We have also had significant levels of staff absence due to seasonal bugs in the past weeks. This can mean we sometimes need to move staff around to cover classes, so thank you for bearing with us. I can assure you that we always aim to minimise any disruption to ensure  teaching and learning remains consistent.

In other news, it was all about the Pyjama Party in EYFS today! So much fun was had by all - see the pictures below - celebrating with popcorn and fruit kebabs.

Have a wonderful weekend and look forward to seeing many of you at the Christmas Fair tomorrow.

Patrick

Lost property: thank you to the Friends who so efficiently redistributed many of our lost Tupperware, water bottles and clothing last week. Please do ensure all property is clearly marked to enable lost items to be returned to their rightful owners promptly.

Thank you to all parents who have settled their balance, unfortunately we still have a large amount of outstanding accounts on Magicbooking, the deadline to settle this is next week by Tuesday 12th of December.

Please note the system will not allow anyone book new activities/clubs next term if they have a negative balance on their account.

National Tree Week

Here are some beautiful trees the children in Reception made to celebrate National Tree Week last week. The children learnt all about the important job trees do for the environment and then they used wool to create woven trees. Don't they look amazing!

JKPS and 5th Camberwell Beavers and Scouts

JKPS and 5th Camberwell Beavers and Scouts are delighted that our Young Leader Sami Elkhawad has been awarded a Sir Jack Petchey award for outstanding young people - it's a wonderful honour for Sami and he gets to choose how to spend a £300 grant in his local community.

For those of us who run Cubs and Beavers it's no underestimation to say Sami makes it all possible. His natural charm and warmth give him a unique ability to engage the children and encourage them to take part even when they are unsure. His commitment and dedication to the group shines through, and his ability to talk on every subject from osmosis to football rules makes him an invaluable companion on long, wet walks. Well done Sami!
