Friday 19th September 2025

Dear Families,

On Wednesday, we held our first Collaborative Review Day of the year, welcoming two of our Anthem Education Directors, a headteacher from another Anthem school, and our Trust Lead for SEND and Inclusion. These review days give us a valuable opportunity to work alongside leaders from across the Trust, reflecting on our practice and identifying ways to further strengthen provision at JKPS. There was much to celebrate, as well as clear improvement points for us to take forward as a team. Our visitors spoke warmly about how welcoming our school feels, and the Executive Director was especially impressed by the enthusiasm and quality of our KS2 singing assembly!

And now to the weekend... fingers crossed for the weather and we hope to see many of you at Oktoberfest tomorrow!

Schönes Wochenende!

Patrick

Please note:

ECO SCHOOL - 2025-2026

{item_alt_tag}

Eco School are back up and running and led an assembly today to introduce themselves!

It is car free day on Monday 22nd September. This is a worldwide campaign.

At Judith Kerr, we also launched a competition! The class who has actively travelled to school and avoided using cars wins extra play!

★★ Celebrations ★★

Well done to all the wonderful children pictured below who we celebrated in assembly today and on Monday for being role models in their classes and around school!

What's happening in school

So lovely to see the class displays coming up following our work in week1 focused on the We Are All Born Free and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

It was so lovely to see some of the children demonstrating their creativity and compassion at playtime today, making best use of our grounds in their play. Here is a bug hotel/ bug care home, and a home for a cat! Both lunchtime creations.

Which zone are you in right now?

Vielen Dank, Ms Sabine for this rather fabulous German addition to our Zones of Regulation.

Friends Corner

🥨🌭🍻🇩🇪🌳🥨🌭🍻🇩🇪🌳🥨🌭🍻🇩🇪🌳🥨🌭🍻🇩🇪 🌳🥨🌭🍻🇩🇪🌳🥨🌭🍻🇩🇪🌳🥨🌭🍻🇩🇪🌳🥨🌭🍻🇩🇪 🌳
This week’s Friends’ Corner is still Oktoberfest central, and we are all looking forward to tomorrow. The two things we ask are:
  • Volunteers - please come to the shift you've signed up for: https://legacy.signup.zone/F8udMHsBYkRHWKk7g
  • Enjoy - this is a great chance to enjoy the lovely green space, bring friends and neighbours to our welcoming school, and raise money
Last year's Oktoberfest was central to the opening of the the new SEN Room and the (soon to be delivered) Early Years Space. The SEN Room is now open and helping ensure that every child can flourish at JKPS. We have begun discussions with Mr Patrick and his team on this year's priorities and hope to update everyone soon.
