Friday 20th June 2025

Dear Families,

Thank you so much to the Year 1 and 2 children for the wonderful singing concert this morning. They really did put a smile on everyone's face. It was great to hear all the families singing along too! Thank you to Mr Aiden, Ms Natalie and all the KS1 team for helping put the concert together.

We are just completing the final stages of our recruitment for next year and hope to be able to share who the teachers for next will be by the end of next week. Watch this space.

Schönes Wochenende!

Patrick

Friends Corner

Have a lovely sunny weekend. And have a lovely time up at the Fort Years 1, 2 & 5.

Couple of updates this week on things we’ve been working on in the Friends. As ever, there are lots of opportunities to get more involved.

Sensory Room Update

We’re nearly there! The new flooring is scheduled for installation next week, and if the fiber optic shower arrives on time, we’re aiming to have all the sensory room equipment set up during the week of 7 July. Just in time for the much-anticipated Masked Teacher event—where our brilliant teachers will once again put their best voices forward! This fun-filled event marks the conclusion of the fundraising efforts that began last year to support the development of our sensory room.

Sports Day Medals – Ocean Tokens

We’re delighted to share that the Friends will once again be sponsoring this year’s Sports Day medals for all participants! This year’s Fishing Net Medals—Our Ocean Tokens—are made from discarded fishing nets, recycled by Plastix, a company committed to protecting our oceans through sustainable solutions.

To help reduce waste and the number of medals needed each year, families who do not wish to keep their medals are kindly asked to return them for reuse. A collection box will be available at the reception desk from 17 July to 30 September.

Summer Picnic

Weekend fun is nearly upon us. Please sign up to help here:  https://signup.zone/yvpR8hyDPm9qxayam

Summer Caps

Of the heat has reminded you of a need for a cap, school caps (for adults and kids) can be ordered at the Friends website. There will be a distribution on Monday morning at drop off for those who have placed an order and not yet picked up. Don’t forget to use the code if you are ordering two: https://www.fojkps.org/shop/p/kids-school-cap
