Friday 11th July 2025

Dear Families,

We're nearly there! Just one week to go.

Today we had the last of this year's productions ( - not forgetting next week's Year 6 graduation ceremony). Thank you to Year 3 for their wonderful show all about the Romans and the Celts. Their production delivered brilliant group and individual performances, great singing, and it was full of learning and plenty of jokes.

On Wednesday, our Year 6's returned from their residential visit. Coming off the bus, there were some tired faces but smiles all around. Thank you to the adults who accompanied them and thank you so much to the children who the supervisors at the site said were the 'best group of children' that they'd had all year! We're so proud of them all...

...and that's not the only reason for us all to be proud of them - keep reading for this year's SATS outcomes...

Schönes Wochenende!

Patrick

Key messages:

MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS TO YEAR 6 and Reception

Bring on the drum roll and start the fanfare!!

The Year 6 results were released this week, and we now also have our official EYFS outcomes — and the story is about offering huge congratulations to everyone! Here's how we did -

  • EYFS: 86% of Reception pupils achieved a Good Level of Development (GLD), significantly above the national average of 68.5%.

  • Year 6: 86% of pupils met the combined expected standard in reading, writing, and maths — a fantastic achievement. Notably, 100% achieved the expected standard in reading (with 75% at greater depth), 89% in maths, and 93% in writing.

  • For context, the national average for the combined measure is 62%, and the Trust average is 72%.

These are exceptional results and a testament to the dedication and hard work of our EYFS and Year 6 teams and pupils. Importantly though, none of this would be possible without the collective commitment and hard work of all staff across JKPS in supporting all our pupils.

Year 1 were fantastic on our trip to Tower of London

They boarded Bus 42 and managed to cope despite the hot weather thanks to fans and some occasional water spraying.

We walked across the iconic Tower Bridge.

Once at the Tower of London, we explored in small groups finding our own interests from spying the precious Crown Jewels to talking to Yeoman Warders and finding the ravens!

Thank you to all the team and volunteers who made this trip possible!

Attendance

School attendance is mandatory for all students of compulsory school age. Whilst we understand that it isn't always possible to reach 100% attendance, we are fully committed to ensuring the highest levels of attendance to ensure we enable every student to meet their potential.
