Friday 2nd February 2024

Dear Families,

EYFS and Year 2 had a fabulous time learning about Chinese New Year this week, and there was more excitement in EYFS today with their celebration of NSPCC's Number Day.

And there's lots more coming up in our final week before half-term. Read below to find out all about what we are doing for Children's Mental Health Week and come and join Coach Leo's fitness mornings next week - see below for your child's morning slot.

On Friday 9th February, we will be combining our annual Fasching parade with our Express Yourself Day. Children can come to school in an outfit of their choice. As part of the day, we will be collecting donations for £1 to go towards Place2Be Charity.

Have wonderful weekends!

Patrick

Chinese New Year! 恭贺新禧!

The children in EYFS and Y2 had an amazing time learning about Chinese New Year celebrations. They found out about customs around the Chinese New Year and particularly enjoyed seeing a performance of the traditional ‘Lion Dance'. Thank you so much to our parent community - the children had a wonderful time.

NSPCC Number Day

Today the children across EYFS took part in a mega maths fundraising day.  They took part in number-themed activities and games and dressed up as digits, while raising money to support the NSPCC. They raised just over £50. Great job everyone - don't they look fantastic!

Friends Corner

Happy Friday everyone! To find out more about us and what we do, or to find out how you can donate, just head here. And keep an eye on the noticeboard by the gate if you’d like to know what’s coming up.

🪴 Our next Gardening Day is on Saturday 24th Feb, 11am-3pm. Do come along even if you have only got an hour to spare. Every pair of hands helps and there is always plenty to do!

In other news...

Amazing news from one of our alumni: a short film starring one of our alumni Tara-Binta C (left JKPS in July 2022), shot whilst in her final few weeks at Judith Kerr,  has been nominated for an Oscar! What an achievement, good luck to all involved with the film.
