Friday 23rd May 2025

Dear Families,

Thank you so much to Amy Teichman and Samer Moukarzel for the photography sessions that have run throughout this week. It is always a mammoth task to include all the school, siblings, classes, and staff, so thank you so much, we can't wait to see the pictures!

It was great to attend the Dulwich Safer Routes meeting this week and hear about all the progress that has been made in making the roads around Southwark safer. There is still a lot of work to be done, but there is an excellent commitment to environmental improvement, improving choices for healthy travel options, as well as making our borough greener. Find out more here or watch the video.

Have wonderful, relaxing half-terms and we look forward to seeing the children back in school on Monday, 2nd June.

Key messages:

Walk To School Week: It was great to see so many children taking more active and healthier routes to school this week. Don't forget, they can still work on their travel diaries and hand these in by Wednesday, 4th June.

Learning about Sikhism

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 were very lucky to attend an assembly led by VJ and Rani (Sangat's lovely family!). They taught us all about Sikhism. They shared the key beliefs and values. It was interactive and so interesting. Thank you so much for your time. The children did a reflective exercise about what they learnt and were especially interested in learning about the 5Ks!

Bloom Workshop: Reconnecting with Nature

This week, Years 5 and 6 enjoyed a special visit from the Bloom Workshop, designed to help us reconnect with nature in our school garden. Pupils explored the outdoors mindfully, creating beautiful mandala patterns using natural materials and sketching plants of their choice. We took time to reflect on how being in nature made us feel and shared ideas on how we can stay more connected to the natural world when outside. It was a calming, creative, and inspiring session for all of us!
