Dear Families,
Eid Muburak! Wishing all those celebrating Eid today and this weekend a wonderful Eid ul-Adha! In this afternoon's assembly, we explored the importance of this Muslim festival and how It reminds us of the strong faith of Prophet Ibrahim and how he trusted Allah completely. Read more about what the festival means here.
So often when we talk about the strengths of JKPS, people refer to the strength of our community. That message resounds amongst staff, children and our families and friends. But what does it mean to be part of a strong community? Above all, it has to be about coming together: to support each other; to ensure everyone feels they belong; to celebrate success; and, perhaps most importantly, to overcome challenges. To me this has always encapsulated the strength of our community whilst echoing our values of Justice, Kindness, Perserverance and Spirit. We should never stop reminding ourselves of the importance of these values because they are what bring us together to give us an inclusive community, and they are what we want our children to take away from their time at JKPS.
Schönes Wochenende!
Patrick

They tackled the compost, Katrin created a “digging patch” for the children in the forest, the young plants are growing well, and they have followed #NoMowMay bring out beautiful flowers and long grass, much needed food for bees and other wildlife in the city.
Thank you to our incredible Year 3 litter-pickers, who this week have taken the initiative to collect litter around the playground and put it in its rightful place. As we shared in our assembly, this is also a reminder of others not to drop their rubbish!
